It is bordered by Tibet to the north, Nepal to the east, and the Garhwal region to the west. The landscape is characterized by lush green valleys, snow-capped peaks, pristine rivers, and dense forests.

Culture and Heritage: Kumaon has a diverse cultural heritage shaped by various ethnic groups including Kumaoni, Garhwali, and others. The region is known for its vibrant folk music, dance forms like the "Jhora" and "Chancheri," colorful festivals like Holi, Diwali, and Uttarayani, and traditional art and crafts such as woolen textiles, woodcarving, and pottery.

History: The history of Kumaon is ancient and illustrious. It has been inhabited since prehistoric times and has witnessed the rise and fall of various kingdoms and empires, including the Katyuri and Chand dynasties. The region also played a significant role in the trade between India and Tibet through the ancient Silk Route.

Tourist Attractions: Kumaon is a paradise for nature lovers and adventure enthusiasts. It is home to several picturesque hill stations such as Nainital, Almora, and Ranikhet, offering breathtaking views of the Himalayas and opportunities for trekking, camping, and wildlife safaris in places like Jim Corbett National Park and Nanda Devi Biosphere Reserve. Other attractions include ancient temples like Jageshwar and Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary.

Cuisine: The cuisine of Kumaon is simple yet flavorful, predominantly consisting of locally grown ingredients like millets, pulses, and vegetables. Some popular dishes include Bhatt ki Churkani (black soybean curry), Aloo ke Gutke (spicy potato dish), and Bal Mithai (a sweet made of roasted khoya and coated with sugar balls).

Spirituality: The region is dotted with numerous temples and ashrams, drawing pilgrims and seekers from far and wide. Places like Baijnath, Jageshwar, and Kasar Devi have great spiritual significance and offer tranquil environments for meditation and introspection.

Day wise Itinerary

Day 01: Bhimtal
  • From Delhi early morning, leave for Bhimtal (290 km)smooth check in to your hotel and after some rest leave for a day tour to Nainital.
  • Enjoy boating in Naina lake, offer your prayers to Naina Devi, explore mall road, cover the Himalayan peaks from top and view mango shape lake.
  • One can visit suicide point, tiffin top by horse and can also visit high altitude zoo at Nanital.
  • In evening return to your hotel for dinner and night stay at Bhimtal. 
Day 02: Almora
  • After breakfast check out from your hotel and leave for visiting Kachhi Dham on your way to Almora.
  • After smooth check-into the resort, leave for visiting Surya Katarmal Temple and Chita' Golu Devta.
  • Return to your resort for delicious dinner.
  • Night stay at Almora.
Day 03: Almora
  • After breakfast leave tor Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary and trek to zero point, from where you can view the beautiful Panchachuli Peaks.
  • After this visit beautiful Kasar Devi temple, from where you will see the beautiful view of entire Almora city.
  • In the evening on your way to your resort visit Dhukani waterfall just 7 km away from the resort.
  • Enjoy here in waterfall and return to your resort for delicious dinner and night stay at resort.
Day 04: Muketeswar
  • After breakfast, leave for Muketeswar (50 km away) visit Chauli ki Jali and Mukteshwar Dham temple and also visit Bhalugad waterfall on your way to your hotel.
  • Dinner and night stay at hotel.
Day 05: Kausani
  • After breakfast, check out from your resort and leave for Kausani (52 km) away from the resort.
  • After smooth check in, visit Shawl factory, Tea Garden, Anashakti Ashram.
  • Back to resort for some leisure time. Dinner at resort and night stay.
Day 06: Jim Corbett
  • After breakfast, we will check out from our resort and leave for Jim Corbett (140 km) on our way we will visit the world famous Golf Course and Jhula Devi Temple at Ranikhet.
  • Reach Jim Corbett by evening. Visit Garjiya Mata Temple and if time permits enjoy Elephant ride in evening.
  • Enjoy your delicious dinner and night stay at Jim Corbett.
Day 07: Jungle Jeep Safari and Tour Ends!
  • Wake up early morning to enjoy your Jungle Jeep Safari.
  • Reach resort, enjoy your breakfast and check out for leaving to Delhi.
