Adi Kailash the Home of Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati. Adi Kailash is one of the PanchKailashaccording to Hindu Mythology. OM Parvat and Adi Kailash are considered very sacred place inHinduism. Just a darshan of it can make your inner self enlightened and cleansed. It is believed that the cosmicenergythat is prevalent here can transform a person.

It is the land of tranquility and serenity. The demon king Ravana meditated here and was blessed by Almighty Shiva with the strength of 20 arms and brains of 10 head. According to the legends, there are only eight mountains in India, which has an impression of OM symbol. Out of these eight, only one has been discovered, which is known as Om Parvat or Adi Kailash.This magical mountain, Adi Kailash, is standing tall at an elevation of 6191 m in the Dharchula district.  quite known for its strong religious and adventure connect, also, it is believed that the mountainhasamiraculous nature. One thing, which makes this mountain look apart from other Himalayan ranges is its OM shape, which is formed by the by deposition of snow on the black mountain.

Day wise Itinerary

Day 01- Kathgodam –Pithoragarh (Approx 200km/ 7 hrs drive) 1627m

Pick up from railway station and depart from Kathgodam to Pithoragarh, on the way we will visit Kainchi Dham, Chetai Golu Devta temple and Jageshwar dham. Warm welcome in Pithoragarh hotel and overnight stay.

Kainchi Dham: It’s a Hanuman temple and Ashram which is established by great Saint Sri NeemKaroli Babaji in1960s.

Golu Devta Temple: this temple was constructed in the 12th century by a general belonging of the ChandDynasty.Golu Devta is famously regarded as God of Justice. 

Jageshwar Dham: Jageshwar is a cluster of more then 100 stone temples, dedicated to Lord Shiva, whichhaveinspired it’s popular name “Valley of Gods”.

Pithoragarh: “Shor Valley” Pithoragarh is third largest city of the Kumaon region. Pithoragarh is dreamdestinationfor those looking for a trip away From the crowd. It’s door of many trekking routes and Adi Kailash OmParvat Yatra.

Day 02- Pithoragarh - Nabi / Napalchu Village (85 KMs/ 6 Hrs) 3048m

This morning after having breakfast we will drive to Nabi, a beautiful village no less mysterious than "Pandora"of Navi's ( ref : Avatar), The route is nothing less than a fairytale adventure full of surprising views of cliff hangingmountains, gushing river, snow clad towers of Himalayas which surely gives you a bright idea of entering shiva's territory. En-route We will also visit beautiful villages like malpa (desolated), Budhi, chialekh ,Garbyang,Gunji andNapalchu on the way to Nabi. This village is the base camp of Adi Kailash, you can feel the real experience of Himalayan culture. Overnight stay at Home Stay (Common Washroom) in Nabi Village. And get readyfor fingerlicking food.

Malpa: One of the biggest tragedies of Himalayas held in malpa in 1999. Do not forget to ask the guide or driverabout this unforgettable saga of pain.

Budhi: The place where altitude open itself to get you the rush of adventure and divinity of a pilgrimage.

Chialekh : the paradise of chialekh will give you the chance to play with it as the inner line permit needs tobechecked here by the Army. 

Garbyang: Do not forget to buy sea buckthorn vinegar from this village.

Gunji: move your eyes a little bit to see the snaking diversion towards Om Parvat and the old Kailash Mansarovarroute.

Day 03- Nabi – Jyolingkong- Adi Kailash (35 Kms Approx 3Hrs approx.) 4572m

Today we will leave early in the morning to visit the oldest abode of lord Shiva - Adi Kailash. The roadtoAlmighty's home could never be an easy ride. It challenges the pilgrims on every possible level till we shedevery fragment of EGO to the deep valleys and flowing river. Above all you could experience the divine dance of vyasvalley with every 100 meter we gain. Moreover, It is a kind of beauty that couldn't be explained by the highest ofthepoets. Do not forget to stick your eyes to the Pandav fort at Kuti village.

Post reaching Jollinkong we will visit Parvati Sarovar, 2km trek (Depend on your fitness) or a pony can be hired. Explore the inner consciousness, Energyof Lord Shiva, close your eyes and feel the vibration by bowing down to the Adi Kailash Mountain toweringat 6310meters above sea level.

The journey could be extended to Gauri Kund right at the base of mount Adi Kailashbutonly if health allows as it stood near to 5000 meters and enough to get AMS. Post lunch we will take permission from Lord Shiva to leave. Evening will be spend time with RUNG community which helps in understandingthelifestyleof Himalayan villages. 

Overnight stay at Nabi village.

Day 04- Om Parvat Visit - Dharchula

Early morning visit to Om Parvat. Approx. 2 Hrs by vehicle to reach Om Parvat. Where you can see a “Miracle of Nature '' ! Where Snow lies on the mountain in the shape of Om. After darshan of Om parvat, relax there withyourself, try to do meditation and feel the real blessing of Shiva. 

Later visit Kalapani (Subject to permission) thenback to our Finding Shiva community, evening back to Dharchula. Overnight stay at hotel.

OM PARVAT: Eight such "OM" symbols are mentioned in Skanda Purana and out of which only one is availableto have darshan. Her mother nature had to justify itself by creating the divine symbol of "OM" visible tous egoderived beings on a huge mountain. I promise you will get spellbound with a very first gaze of this miracle. Just sitdown and listen to the intense vibration of the sound "OM".

Mahakali temple (kalapani) : "Kali"- the dark feminine energy could be felt here. The temple complexis sobeautiful that it will be hard for you to leave the place. Dont forget to have darshan of kali river's source and vyas gufa

Day 05- Dharchula– Patal Bhuvneshwar (108 Kms Approx 4Hrs approx)

Post breakfast drive to Patalbhuvneshar along with panoramic view of Shivalik ranges and Himalayan villages.

 Visit Patalbhuvneshar cave, than check in to Resort/Hotel for overnight stay. Patalbhuvneshar Cave: It is said that this underground limestone cave is the residence of Lord Shiva andthirtycroredeities. A visit to Patalbhuvneshar cave is equal to a thousand times the visit to Kashi, Baidyanath or Kedarnath.InSkanda Purana, there is a description of receiving blessings in Manas Khand, chapter 103, Patal Bhuvneshwar.

Day 06- Patal Bhuvneswar–Kathgodam (270 Kms Approx 6-7 Hrs approx)

Post breakfast drive to Kathgodam railway station with unforgettable spiritual moments. Yatra is end here with beyond life and Death experiences.

Q: What will be the expected temperature and weather in Adi kailash and OmParvat?

A : Day temperature will hover around 08 to 18 degree Celsius, while night temperature cangodownto -05 and at some places more.

Q : Is Kailash Mansarovar and Adi Kailash same or different destination?
A: Adi Kailash and Kailash Mansarovar is different destination but both are PanchKailash. AdiKailash is in Indian Himalayas and Kailash Mansarovar is in Tiebet. Both are holy mountains.

Q: Roads remains open in winter?

A: due to the heavy snow fall inner line permit process is closed by administration in winter.

Q: What is Om Parvat actually?
A: It’s a natural shape of Om on snow-capped mountain. According to Hindu scripts, it’s asignofhighenergy and creation.

Q: Is it off-road drive or smooth one 
A: From Kathgodam to Dharchula, it’s well connected road but from Dharchula to Adi KailashandOmParvat totally off-road. We used 4/4 transport for particular strech.

Q: What is AMS (Acute Mountain Sickness)?
A: AMS is result of sudden exposure to reduced air pressure and lower oxygen level at highaltitude.General symptoms are Headache, Fatigue, Nausea, and Loss of appetite, sleeplessness, heavybreathing. Descending down and inhaling oxygen can cure it faster. That is why we recommendtospend at least two days in Leh, so that you get some time to acclimatize.

Q: What are the precautionsfor photography gears?
A: You don’t need to worry much about the professional gears much; they are built tosustainsuchextreme weathers. For basic gears, just keep that battery at warm places.

Q: I had no time to prepare, can I buy warm clothes in Dharchula/Pithoragarh?
A: No, we suggest you buy it at home location and try it out couple of times.

Q: Is there some trekking involved in this?
A: Not too much but while visit Gauri Kund and Parvatisarovarthen we have to do 6kmtrek .
